About The Monkton

The Monkton is a traditional pub hidden away in a rural village just outside Taunton, Somerset.

We have a warm and welcoming atmosphere, service with a smile, and fresh homemade sensibly priced food.

If you're not hungry, pop in to our cosy bar for a drink. We have great company, leather sofas, a log fire and local real ales.

We believe pubs are an essential part of English society, so, despite being proud of our food, we don't serve it in our bar.

We are open for lunch and dinner from Tuesday to Saturday and for lunch on Sunday. We are closed all day Monday.
